It’s that time of year again. The time of year where my Facebook feed is filled with pictures of eager summer-sunned students ready to head back to school! My girls just started back this week. and when we were done with school shopping and locker prepping, the next thing on the agenda to tackle was the lunchbox. Lunchboxes, what’s in those lunchboxes and what, if I add them to the boxes, will be left in the boxes when the kids return home are a big deal. (I’m hoping not to strike out as much this year.) Sometimes, I like to hide little notes in their lunchboxes. Just a quick little note, offering up some love or words of encouragement. School days can be long, and a little love from home in the middle of the day can go a long way! So, when Sara Lee® Bread asked me if I’d talk to you about their new Lovable Lunch campaign, I knew it would be a great fit!
Sara Lee® Bread’s new Lovable Lunch Notes will be available for a limited time, and are the perfect addition to your child’s lunchbox as the school year kicks off. Click on this link, and you’ll find thirty FREE printable lunch box notes to help your child get the little boost of happy they might need come lunch time. The notes are all customizable, so each one is unique and special, just like our kids! Here are a few that I made for my daughter, Avery.
One of the hardest things, for me, when it comes to packing lunches for my girls is keeping things healthy, and filling! Emily isn’t usually an issue, because that girl could live on hummus and vegetables. Avery, on the other hand, is my challenge. Her favorite lunchbox sandwich is simply deli chicken or turkey with cream cheese.
Pretty boring, eh?
With Sara Lee® Bread, I know that even thought the sandwich filling is pretty plain, I’m giving her a sandwich she’ll love, on soft, fresh-baked bread made with quality ingredients that have no high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors or flavors. Her favorite is the honey-wheat, and I love it because it’s the right balance of good-tasting and good-for-you. I make sure to add fresh fruit, her favorite yogurt and a granola bar or whole grain crackers and I have a healthy lunch to please even my pickiest eater.
And tucking in a sweet little note doesn’t hurt either, which is why I am loving all of the options that Sara Lee® Bread has over at their Lovable Lunch Notes site. Just look at how one little note can make lunch a whole lot more fun!
Be sure to check the site out, and print up customizable lunch notes to give to your little ones throughout the year! While you’re there, grab a coupon for your next loaf of Sara Lee® Bread, and check out the kid-friendly recipes to change up the sandwich routine. I think I’m going to use one and try to move past Avery’s normal turkey and cream cheese. Wish me luck! The site is only up for the next six weeks, so grab them while you can!
