Doesn’t that look like something you’d want to curl up with after a long day?
Pot de Creme is just one of those desserts that, when offered, I can’t resist. Have you ever had one? If so, you know what I’m saying. A Pot de Creme is actually just a really, really creamy, tasty, wonderful custard pudding. It’s rich and velvety smooth, and a little goes a long way. If you’re ever needing a chocolate fix…a really deep, wonderful, dreamy chocolate fix, this version is the recipe for you. Read more...(993 words, 10 images, estimated 3:58 mins reading time)
Halloween is creeping up, and before you know it, little ghosts and goblins will be running up and down the streets showing off their costumes and filling their trick-or-treat bags to the brim. What happens when they get home? Well, the annual “Candy Sort”, of course. Halloween isn’t Halloween without taking careful inventory of every last bit of sugar in your bag. Everything has a pile, from the prized and elusive full-sized candy bars, right down to those weird little peanut butter taffies in the black and orange wax paper wrappers. Tres Leches Cake is one of those recipes that I feel has been haunting me for a while. I’d never made it before this, but I kept seeing it…everywhere. We haven’t gone apple picking yet this year, but this could be the perfect weekend to do just that. Read more...(912 words, 10 images, estimated 3:39 mins reading time)
That’s all you need to make this amazing, surprisingly light, deliciously tasty summer dessert.
I had a feeling this would be good, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out exactly how seriously good it really was. There’s just enough chocolate to keep the chocolate fans happy, it’s light enough that it won’t weigh you down after a big meal, and it’s different enough to make people think that you’ve spent a ton of energy on it. Only you need to know that it’s actually pretty simple! Read more...(1122 words, 10 images, estimated 4:29 mins reading time)
If you like Key Lime Pie, you need to try this. I am a huge Key Lime Pie fan in the summertime. I find that it’s just the perfect dessert when the weather is balmy. It’s tart, cool, and creamy, but still feels light and summery. I love it. This lemon pie, however, may have knocked Key Lime pie out of the running this summer for favorite dessert.
